The Elks will take on Warren in a best of 3 this Friday in Lufkin, Texas in the Regional Quarter Finals. Warren comes off on an impressive series win over New Diana, and the Elks come off a 3 Game series taking it over Sabine. The elks will rely on their pitching just as they have all year to cool off warren's bats look for Jordan White, Hunter Parker and Jacob Cheatham to take the mound this series. If the Elks can get pass Warren it could possibly set up a showdown with Salado or Centerville. JFFT- Jacob Cheatham the Elks SS set a new National Record last weekend for the Most Triples in a single season, Jacob has 17.

The Teague Lions and Troy will once again battle each other in the Regional Quarterfinal round.Troy took the series last year 2-1 to advance.The series will be played at Texas A&M Olsen's Field.Game 1 is Friday at 7 pm with game 2 set for 1 pm Sat and if needed Game 3 will start at 4 pm.Both teams had high hopes before the season and they have not disappointed their fans.SuperCentex will have the broadcast with Remo Williams on the call if you cant catch the action live.

From the Brazos Sports web site. Each year I have been able to attend the State meet, this young lady from Hearne may have been the only contestant from Hearne at the meet and this tribute is well deserved.
Last year I mentioned the Freshman from 1A Italy Kortnei Johnson, who won Gold in the Girl's 100 meter dash as a Freshman and Gold in the 100 meter and 200 meter dash as a sophomore.
Also the Rosebud-Lott Girls team who came in third last year at state as Freshmen, came in second this year as sophomores and have their entire team back for two more years. The Rosebud-Lott Boy's team is comprised from at least 3 Juniors and also came in 3rd at state in 2012 and second in 2013.
Finally, congratulations to Devonte Steele of Marlin on his Bronze in the 2A Boys Triple Jump, when the Finals were delayed and did not start until after 10:00 pm on Friday.
Teague and Crawford will square off in a best 2 out of 3 series starting Friday.These two teams met last year with Teague winning but this is a new year.Both teams entered the year with high hopes and so far they havent disappointed their fans.Game 1 has beeen moved to Franklin because of today's rain but will move back to Lorena for Sat. games.SuperCentex will carry all the action.Should be some good baseball played and good luck to both teams.
Elkhart Elks will Travel to Nac Friday and Saturday to play a best 2 out of 3 with Sabine. The Elks battled back last week from a first day defeat to take the series against Hemphill. Should be a good match up, looking forward to a possible Troy meeting or salado down the road.
